# Memroot

> Persistent engineering memory for your coding agents: save a durable lesson once and recall it in every agent you connect.

Important notes:

- Free is $0/month. Basic is $9.99/month, Pro is $19.99/month, and Max is $49.99/month, in USD.
- Choose a paid plan, sign in, and confirm your subscription through secure checkout. Manage subscriptions in console Billing.
- Tenant-wide usage limits are shown in the product overview. Monthly admissions reset on UTC calendar months; total writes and total assertions are lifetime admissions. An assertion is one atomic statement inside a memory; a memory can hold up to 8.
- Automated consolidation and processing-priority tiers are not offered.
- Product and pricing statements in this list describe the public Memroot landing page as of 2026-10-11.

Connecting a coding agent (alpha). These lines describe the published `memroot` npm package and the production MCP server as of 2026-10-11, not the landing page:

- The alpha command-line tool is the npm package `memroot` (Node.js 22 or later, macOS or Linux). `npx memroot setup` installs the Memroot plugin for the agents you select (Claude Code, Codex, Grok) and registers the Memroot MCP server with them. Codex signs in during setup; in Claude Code authorize it with `/mcp`, in Grok with `/mcps`. Production sign-in and native tool discovery have been verified in Grok. This verifies authorization and tool availability only.
- MCP server: `https://api.memroot.dev/mcp`. It uses OAuth sign-in in the browser with a Memroot account; there are no API keys. Each connection is authorized for one project.
- MCP tools: `memory_retrieve` (recall the project's engineering memory for the task at hand), `memory_create` (save a durable engineering lesson when the user asks for it or agrees to it), `projects_list` (list the project the connection is authorized for), `connection_status` (check the connected account and project).
- Review and revoke connections in the console at https://console.memroot.dev/integrations (sign-in required).
